The Air Force hopes 4,500 civilians will apply for this second round of buyouts and early outs. Those who are accepted have to retire by April 30.

Tried to submit application to my organization on 30 January and they said it was too late. The organization had a cut-off date of 25 January. I am CSRS. Do you know if there will be another buyout?

Our base had a cut-off on Sunday, the 29th. [Weird cut-off date...]
First offers went out Wednesday, and I didn’t get one. 8^(
I hope many of those who did will refuse them, but rumor has it that despite assurances otherwise, some specialites, such as the 0800 series (engineers), won’t be on the list, unless they have enough clout to get a waiver…
