Q. How much leave without pay in a calendar year can a United States Postal Service employee use without affecting the time going to their retirement?

A. The fact that you are a USPS employee is irrelevant. If your agency approves your taking LWOP, you can do that for up to 6 months in a calendar year without it affecting your length of service.
