Q. I have 13 years as a federal worker under FERS at GS 10. I left federal service at age 48. Am eligible to collect any type of federal retirement and how does age play a role? A. If you didn’t ask for a refund of your retirement contributions when you left, you’d be eligible for a deferred annuity at age 62.
