September 23rd, 2013 | Creditable service: CSRS Deferred retirement Postal Service RETIREMENT
Q. I am 53 years old and will have 30 years of service with the Postal Service under CSRS. If I leave the post office before I am 55 years old, will my annuity start when I turn 55?
A. No. You wouldn’t be eligible for a deferred retirement until you reach age 60.
