Unemployment benefits after forced retirement
December 6th, 2011 | RETIREMENT
Q: As A FERS law enforcement officer, I must retire at age 57. Am I eligible to receive unemployment benefits since it is not my decision to stop working, and I am forced to stop due to age requirements?
A: Unlikely; however, the decision rests with your state unemployment office.
